hi folks, I am looking for a watch for my wife, but have little knowledge on the subject.

she has said she's after something modern and 'chunky', though she has a fairly petite frame, so I think this is very much a relative term.

i quite like the RADO watches (about the right budget too). Anyone got any other suggestions?

Also, recommendations for where to buy (online) gratefully received.

thanks all...

For that kind of money you could get a vintage Omega ladies watch.

That way, at least it will have some re-sale value when you split up.

Hope that helps.

Go for a Panerai or Radiomir. Big watches but very popular with those in the groove these days. And a guaranteed return if things go pear shaped - either you get to wear it or sell it for little/no loss - Result
