That's like a PVD version of a Heuer Bund, even down to the Tritium sign on the face to denote the radioactivity of the hour marks.
It's actually a Porsche Orfina Bund 5100It's part of the extensive Lemania 5100 Military 'family'
There are also Tutima and Arctos versions of the same watch.
It looks to be in good nick and with the bracelet I'd say £1000 was definitely high but not overly excessive. Remember the PVD is a bugger to recondition.
Here it is with the original Porsche Design PVD black metallic bracelet.
I'm not sure I don't prefer the bund now I've swapped it over. It will be my daily wearer for now, so I think I'll try it for a week or so with each, and see how I get on. The bund strap is more unusual, interesting to see how the strap makes quite a difference to the appearance of the watch on your wrist.

My bracelet could do with recoating, but I have no idea where to get it done?
Yes I've seen so many variants of the faces,
Military
Orfina
with or without the 3H logo (supposed to be extra bright lume)
etc.
PD logo ro Porsche Design text.
But I think they are basically all the same with the Lemania 5100 movement.

Ah yes the Curta.
The story of these amazing devices is well documented on the net, designed in a concentration camp by a Jewish engineer, his father had previously designed larger mechanical calculators.
It is thought he was allowed to survive the concentration camp if he continued to design the Curta for use by the German military. He was clever enough to ensure they never fully understood his design, and it is claimed some help from the "Walther" family who were competitors of his fathers, but had helped the German cause, all came together to let Curta evade death and start manufacture of these amazing mechical devices in Lichtenstein after the war.
Originally sold for such things as making complex calculations for field surveying, my example was used by my father in law to calculate margin percentages on stock market gilt trades a long time ago. In a Car theme they were also very popular for regularity runs, for calculating average speed etc, known as pepper grinders, due to the turning action of the handle.
