Considering of adding a late 60s, early 70s Omega to my collection to celebrate a forthcoming significant event. I'm all over ebay, but not sure I want to follow this route, plus it's a bit 'random' - never know when one will turn up.

Anyone know of any good websites or shops (pref in the South) for sourcing said item?

Found this site, but all the ones I like are SOLD, plus they seem unwilling to communicate with me - emails all ignored. confused

I hope you're a vintage expert if you're buying off ebay. Shocking number of frankenwatches coming out of SE Asia, IIRC.
Sort of what I was trying to say, presumably badly, in my post - don't really want to buy on ebay. Would rather spend a little more and be sure of what I'm getting.

Thanks for the links.

You of course want a Speedsonic.

Great link, thanks. What's a Speedsonic? Currently thinking of a Dynamic, but there's some awesome food for thought on that site!

Best bracelet ever.
Speedsonic on a Lobster, excellent - that's certainly one to have a serious look at!
One to consider, beautiful watch. Mostly, though, I prefer my watches to only have the one dial, and to just tell the time, and maybe the date. Perhaps I should talk myself out of that for a bit of variety......

I have a new target. An Omega model I'd never even heard of, and fk me if it isn't beautiful. It also fits wonderfully in terms of manufacure date etc. No idea on price yet, so there's a chance it may be outside my budget, but we'll see........
