Old CWC Doing 3 Second Jumps

I have a 1983 CWC Royal Navy Divers quartz watch and on odd occasion ive seen it doing, not its normal 1 second sweep but exactly 3 second ticks, is this telling me the battery is about to give up?

Ive had the watch about 4 years, it had already stopped when i bought it and had the battery replaced then, so its around 4 years old.

Sorted, two and a half minutes and one pound ten pence later, very happy with that and watch back to giving me 24 hour accuracy and one second jumps Ta
