Blue Mercedes S124 in Bedfordshire?

Does anyone on here own or know of a very, very nice Mercedes S124 E-class around the Beds-Cambs-Herts tri-point? Metallic sky-blue, badged as a 300 diesel but sounds like it might have something more potent under the bonnet.

It's apparently a 1994 model but on an E-plate with two digits rather than three (not going to put the whole reg here).

I have seen it around a couple of times and would love to know more about it.

Does the no plate end in WAX? If so it belongs to a friend, and may soon be up for sale
