Does it peel or wash off or something?

Thanks - next time I think I may need to read more than 1 page of a thread paperbag
Shame Duxford hasn't been fitted in yet.

The listing currently shows August ONLY, Sept dates are yet to be released.

The Lanc is due to be here until at least the middle of September which co-incides nicely with the Duxford airshow on 13/14th September (also Battle of Britain Day)

I'd be very suprised if they didn't do the Sept airshow before they leave, although as with anything you wont know until closer to the time...

I have heard rumours of the possibility of extending however I would expect your starting to get into the not great weather area for the transit back.

Yep, CWHM have already raised the idea of an extension, and with the Duxford Airshow right on the edge of their current tour, I am hoping to see them announce something for then. But you are right about the weather for the flight back, it is the start of hurricane season September onwards. Will keep an eye on the BBMF and CWHM's feeds

What I would say though is if it's not at an airshow near you make the effort to go see it. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity I would have thought so for a few hours in a car you should be in reach of a show.

agree with above, it's at least an hour's drive down to Bournemouth for me but worth it every year.
The sight of one Lancaster coming in from over the sea gives you goosebumps, it seems so slow and majestic compared with the newer planes and the noise it makes..
Have been on the beach and up on the cliffs and an amazing site every time. cannot wait to see the both of them and flanked with the rest of BBMF
