I doubt Sir Richard's Dad is going up unless it's in a coffin
That made me laugh. :-)

I added him to the list in 2010, before he died.

He's now off the list. Thanks for spotting that.

It won't be THE maiden flight.

There will be test flights with test pilots only on board. I presume they have their name down for the maiden PASSENGER carying flights.

Wasn't it Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy where they told everyone the world was about to end, then put all the d-list celebs, hairdressers, insurance salesmen & middle managers into one rocket and sent it skyward on a one way trip?

Given that it only carries 6 passengers, it'll be a bit snug if they all go at once.

How's about having a whip round to buy tickets for Ed Minigland, Ed Balls and Harriet Harperson, then get the Branston to leave them in orbit..?

This could work...

Yes - it';s only a large scale rollercoaster ride - up and down in a large parabolic arc.

I';d still like to do it, mind.

It would need a mighty big shove i.e increase its speed by a factor of about 4. And coming home might get a bit hot.
