Was just sat here begging for it to turn north and come around the north side of Leicester, then it would have come straight over us, but no, it has to go back the way it came!

Hmmm... was able to track it for a while on Flightradar24 but then it just disappeared (Cheltenham area) before it turned up at WSM.

Well she looked fantastic in the lovely summer sun at Weston this afternoon. It was a very sedate display (must preserve those precious engines), but being sat on top of Brean down, along with many others, we were treated to one really nice low pass directly overhead. Long live XH558!

She cruised over my house near Dursley this afternoon, I guess heading down to Weston, and then back northbound at a higher altitude about 30 minutes later. A fantastic sight. Made my day

She was well worth the wait at Weston yesterday, my boy just kept saying 'awesome' for about five minutes!

Was it me, or was the weston display a bit shorter than I've seen before ( last year, for example).

I was there from 11am till 7pm and they were flying all day but with some quite long gaps

Yep and there was I looking for a blue Porsche

Nope was sorned plus wanted somewhere to lie down if it was late or if parking was bad I could drive it up a slope and leave it.


I should have checked cars first and said hello but only thought of it when I got back. Remembered the merc because it looked good and I fancy a convertible next.
