Yet it's at Brooklands where you can see so many concrete TSR2 moulds lying around in the grass...
A sad story, but so much myth and legend other the years and so little truth.
EhIs that serious? I said I was put right by those who know better, but the nose is definitely there at Brooklands, just near the front of the Concorde. Another part of our great jet legacy.A sad story, but so much myth and legend other the years and so little truth.
Watching last night, and early in the programme, there was a clip of some dramatisation or another where - and I mentioned it to mrs k at the time - Dennis Bancroft appeared to play himself in the scene.
Was I imagining it?
BTW, Dennis was a senior aerodynamicist at Miles aircraft; story here:
Miles M.52

Is what serious? As Eric mentioned the nose section moved elsewhere (for a radome to be fitted) - not sure if it's come back yet.

I cycled past the college a couple of weeks ago and it was still outside then. I'll have a look again today.
Eric, this is PH......You drove your Tuscanador turbo V8 past the college......
Loved Jet!, especially seeing the TSR2. Gawped at it many times at Duxford - beautiful thing. This link to a video about its cancellation (from the thread linked above) is a great watch, but an epic pissboiler. Don't say you weren't warned.

A badly flawed documentary, just bear in mind it's entirely one-sided. You could write an equally damning documentary that completely trashed the aircraft.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL6sGQqB7og
