Waiting to go in my 1968 Olsen.

I took a Bukh DV10 out, shame it wasn't worth repairing, but it has a new life in the sea school for the AEC students. smile

When people ask me what I have in my boat, I tell them. They go "Ooooo, wow, really? Is it fast? Is it thirsty" Sadly I have to them correct them that's it's not one of these, which is a marinised supercar engine made by Lamborghini...

But one of these...which is a marinised cement mixer engine made by Lombardini...

Ho hum...

But afterall, this is PH, should we not be going everywhere flat out? Making as much noise as possible and using the most fuel we can?

I organise a powerboat rally, last year we had just over 10,000hp out on the water.
thumbup I blame the rag and stick brigade and those that think seamanship occurs on a pond. Bloody eco freaks. hehe

You know we're going to get a complete battering now?

Wasteful excess. smile

8.02hp from 318cc @76kg is where it's at!

Pfft. If I had just the icemaker running there would only be .0002hp left for propulsion. wink

On Katalina and Leander, both quite large yachts, we had Duetz V12s.

Its the old ones I like.

How about 1000hp @ 380rpm. Nice
