I went to Brize yesterday to see if she was out of her hanger. Fellow spooter told me that she is awaiting her air ticket before she can fly again.
If she passes will she be flying from Brize at the weekend to go to Duxford?
That's kind of true, the work that has been carried out needs to be signed off before she flies again. If she passes will she be flying from Brize at the weekend to go to Duxford?
As far as I am aware, she will be flying out of Brize to Duxford but as she can't land at Duxford she will be returning to Brize after the display.

Ian, do you know the approx time for the Wyton flypast? I have had a rummage about on the net but can find nothing.
Thanks for the update spitfire-ian. I am going to Brize on Saturday as they are holding their Party in the Park, it would be great if the Vulcan landed whilst at this event.

Its also at Cosby (5 miles south of Leicester (J21 M1/ M69) Victory show this weekend saturday and sunday which is a WW2 battle show with tanks, airshow classic warbirds etc etc

Time 1400 hrs according to the TVOC guy on radio Leics this morning asuming its not gone tech again. should be also doing Duxford and Southport i believe
The issue they have when it fails is that Marshall Aerospace have to certify the repair work and there appears to be no out of hours or weekend cover contract and reading the PPrune forums, seems to hinted at a poor relationship between them and TVOC according to insiders
shame as its a great plane but the radio interview today sounded gloomy for next year as there is still no corporate sponsor in place after this season with a credit crunch and even more fuel costs and its also not on the "green" list now, but hey driving a classic landy myself who gives a fig!!

Ian, do you know the approx time for the Wyton flypast? I have had a rummage about on the net but can find nothing.
Bournemouth was a great place for an airshow. the east cliff road is closed to traffic and makes an excellent viewpoint fo rthe passing planes.
Red Arrows did a perfect show as per usual, and the sea vixen, Red One Gnat were equally good.
Dispaointed with the Eurofighter show, but the C-130J and the DC-6 were good.
Needs more Large aircraft though.
Sunday, with a cloud base of only 1100ft meant a lot of the civil and historic stuff couldnet get into the air, but again, the Red's and the Sea Vixen did superb.

According to UKAR: "Came in over Wyton airfield, lots of smoke, then over Officers Mess right on time as the flag was being lowered. Powered turn and using the water tower as a datum, did a few -lost count- circuits, one with bomb doors open. Reversed course and then did a powered climb out towards St Ives. Lots of noise and car alarms going off left right and center."
I saw it last night for the Wyton flypast
I couldn't find out what time it was due so took a guess and went for a long dog walk around the top of the hill at Alconbury. It flew almost overhead on the way in and I watched the display through my binos as it is about 5 miles away, it then flew back over me on the way home. The only thing was it was all in absolute silence, even the passes overhead - either my ears need sorting or that thing glides in a straight line
Stew-S160, I thought it might have got your attention

Cancellation – The Victory Show, Cosby nr Leicester
Due to the sudden and unusually persistent heavy rainfall, a decision was made by the organisers of the The Victory Show to cancel the event on both Saturday September 6th and Sunday September 7th.
As with any cancellation of any event the very difficult decision was taken following discussions between the organisers, exhibitors, police and other safety services. It was based on concerns for the visitors and the disappointing conclusion was that we could not fully safeguard them or provide an event in these conditions deemed worthwhile for them to visit.
Despite a huge effort by everyone involved to improve the conditions of the waterlogged public car parks and ground display sites, it became clear that significant areas of the fields and of the battleground were unusable. For further information please visit www.victoryshow.co.uk where further updates will be published in due course.
