... have flown low and fast over my house three times this afternoon, in a tight triangular formation, heading west towards the Gower.

I live in Swansea so aerial activity by the RAF is certainly not unheard of but the jets I am seeing this afternoon I have not seen before. All three are the same. Relatively slim bodies with something underneath each wing and the tail appears to be elevated above the level of the wings. Presumably they are doing 'laps' of the area as they have gone overhead from the same direction each time with each 'lap' being about an hour apart.

Anybody got any ideas? Apologies for the lack of good information but I'm not really up on my jets frown

I shall try to answer any questions as accurately as I can, if anybody has any smile

They sound like L29 Delphins.
When I was home there this time last year there was a Swansea bay air show, they're not practising for that are they?

Havn't Hawker Hunter Aviation relocated to St. Athens recently?

I saw these earlier on, whilst leaving Swansea. There were 3 of them, they weren't current RAF aircraft. They had a very similar wing design to the Jet Provost.

I correct myself, Hunter Flying Ltd has relocated to cardiff, could be a group of hunters.

I tink you mean they had straight rather than swept back wings. I've posted a picture of a possible candidate above (the Aero 39 Albatros).

Somebody mentioned the Aero 29 Delphin, which is an older design from the same company -

They had tanks/pods on the wing tips, so more likely the 39 than 29.

Could be falcon 20 from chobham flight, have seen 6 in formation ,they are used as intruders against the RAF and royal navy ,the pods on the wing I think are ecm pods.
