Help needed.

I've found a very unusual piece of history today.

While servicing a mate's Perkins on his old Dutch motorsailor, I pulled out a basket of service parts marked Uncle Ernest's Mail. This may have not been looked at for a while. There were cardboard tubes of chaulking that were on the slightly stiff side, Duck Oil cans that were rusty (from the inside?) and a very special item.

The item was purchased from Camper & Nics chandlery some time ago. Now I can't remember when they shut their doors, but it was a good while ago. Can any Forum member give details of when the business finished?

The Product found?

++As Seen on TV** Elmers Krazy Glue. Still in it's packet and jacket, compete in it's yellow plastic tube, sealed. Price on the sticker. £1.95.

One of the earliest Super Glues.

Any idea on the dates chaps?

Around '86 the shop closed its doors from memory of when my parents had a boat there in the marina. As a kid somehow that shop was fascinating and full of weird and wonderful things, rows of shackles, screws, nuts and bolts in every size and material known to man it seemed to me. Very different from today's Chinese quick rust 'stainless' blister packs!
