OK, so I didn't eat it for breakfast but mixed grill/breakfast are the same thing really.

Thank. I have to say that not only do duck eggs taste so much better than hens, they look more "sunny" as well ! Even a simple boiled duck egg in an egg cup is a delight.

I used lard for frying, it always strikes me as odd when people use olive oil when a pig based dish can be cooked in a pig based oil to make it more "porky". I blame Jamie Oliver who uses olive oil for nearly everything...

Anyway, have you tried the deli counter? That's where I get black pud from in Sainsburys, all they have on the shelf is the stuff you mention above.
