Cheap doesn't mean bad, neither does blend. There are several blends I rate far higher than some malts.

Chateauneuf du Pape. You, sir, are a man of impeccable taste. bow

At the opposite end of the fiscal spectrum from THC, I'm enjoying a 35yo sherry butt from Glenglassaugh. In front of a roaring wood-burner whilst the horizontal rain lashes down outside.

The dram in my hand cost about £30. But you know what? I think it might just be worth it.

Hi there,

Its Gin for me tonight (well most nights actually).
Latest tipple is one of the best, Sloanes Dry Gin. Voted the 'best gin in the world' at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Awards.

Double measure of gin (50ml), plenty of ice and a bottle of tonic (200ml), quick stir and a wedge of lime. Stunning.

Only got this bottle on Tuesday and its nearly empty. biggrin

Regards

Tim

Have switched from Thatchers Gold to cheap Tesco Chardonnay. Classy.

My spirit of choice. I like my wine too and gin is similar as so much choice is available these days, each with a different taste and flavour

I find it an interesting and enjoyable drink, definitely my favourite. So much to learn yet though
