Celebrities and Nandos
Discussion
I was going to say that they give the 'celeb' cards to even the most minor of celebs as I'd seen Richard Bacon mention he had one, but then I checked and he has 1.5M Twitter followers so its probably worth them giving him the odd free dinner.
Anyone know if the card is only for 'eat in' meals, so the great unwashed can get a glimpse of their Heroes whilst dining?
For a semi-fast-food meal Nandos is pretty good quality.

Me too. Probably been there less than 10 times, loved the food each time. I can't see the issue or understand the haters.
I'd happily go to one on a regular basis if there was one nearby.

It's very disappointing when you're working abroad long term (as I am at the moment) and you idly load up the Nando's app for the closest restaurant only to find it's in an entirely different country.

Interesting article, Rudimental are mentioned so that would explain why they went there after the Brits! Still wouldn’t be the way I’d celebrate one of the biggest achievements of my career so far!You can’t deny, very clever marketing on their part. I wonder how many other places do similar
I don't know what the problem is... It ticks a lot of boxes for me:
- Cheap (£15 a head with a drink is bloody cheap)
- Quick (it's no KFC, obviously)
- Tasty (make it as hot or mild as you like)
- Simple/Unprocessed (a whole chicken and some rice is fairly straightforward)
- Healthy (lay off the bread, coleslaw and chips)
- Ubiquitous (meaning that standards are fairly uniform)

Premiership footballers in Swansea are regularly seen in Nando's. It is funny when you look up Wind street and see a Merc SLS and a 458 Spyder parked outside a stty Nando's
Footballers go there because they're exactly the kind of young blokes who eat fast food.Except they're not allowed big mac and fries but they can eat chicken. It's better for them and is still a "treat".
And in Swansea you think it's the Nando's that's stty? Hmmmm

This morning I see that Rudimental went to Nando’s for dinner after winning best single at the Brits and it got me thinking. I’m aware of the “black card” that allows certain celebrates to eat in Nando’s for free
I was really worried this would end up as a racist joke about chicken and watermelon there for a second.Hackney said:

My point was that they are parking cars with a combined value of over half a million Pounds outside a bloody Nando's then using a card to eat for free. It is a little bit daft and also a little bit funny.Except they're not allowed big mac and fries but they can eat chicken. It's better for them and is still a "treat".

does it make you feel better to have a little dig about where I live? Help yourself if it makes you feel better, I couldn't give a damn.
About 12 years ago, I had Nandos several times while I was in South Africa and thought it was very good, way better than normal fast food. As the closest Nandos to here is Exeter and every time I have been near one since then the queue has been ridiculous, I hadn't had one since SA until I was dragged Christmas shopping last December. Very disappointing, the sauces tasted artificial and the rest seemed poor quality, like Mcdonalds with chicken and I thought it was expensive for what it was. I preferred KFC to that, it was nothing like what I had in SA.

I don't think it is cheap, or tasty. Bland chicken with a load of spicy sauce glugged over it, and some rice? If I go out to eat I don't want to spend circa £10 a head on something I could replicate at home with absolutely minimal effort. Boring food, populated by what I can only assume is a combination of athletes who can only eat bland stacks of protein and the terminally unimaginative.- Cheap (£15 a head with a drink is bloody cheap)
