How dozy is your KFC?

My local KFC drive thru is like a lottery, I don't know why they bother with the intercom as no one has any idea of what you ordered anyway. The hot wings are generally safe but I ordered a flaming wrap and had to wrap it myself.
funnily enough the local KFC is the only fast food place that CONSISTENTLY gets orders wrong and you need to check before you leave. McDonalds never get it wrong but with KFC it is atrocious - worst was a zinger tower meal which when opened was a box of popcorn chicken and small fries. Always on the drive through, though - in store it is much better - though presumably because mistakes are so apparent.Agree that I'd much rather wait for a few mins and get some freshly fried chicken than ones which have been sitting there for ages. For that reason the busiest ones are the best.
Oh and the one in Liverpool St has started giving out mayo!!

I fancied a quick KFC snack at lunch time, so to the drive through, adverts for their latest featured product the Great American Bites...mmm an American Bites meal with Mustard sauce will go down nicely. Nope they didn't have any.
American bites meal is crap, much like all their limited edition stuff. Can never better the original secret recipe Shaoxter said:

That's exactly what I do! I go for the busy places. a large stack of fried chicken in their warming tray (whatever it is) is usually a good sign.On a side note, I hate it when chicken is sometimes placed in the bottom of the box! Especially if you take it home or back to work with you to eat. The heat steams up the insides and makes the skin soggy.
My nearest one is either Surbiton (no parking and slow service) or Cobham services, so I make do with our local knock off KFC type place (actually very nice place surprisingly) they do the ribs the KFC used to do when they were called Kentucky Fried Chicken (many years ago), which I love after a few beers.
I'm hungry now...

I seemed to have hit a nerve here! The consensus seems to be that your KFCs are as bad as mine...........but you're all now hungry for one. I wonder if the 'Secret recipe' is the gastronomical equivalent of nicotine?
Salt, MSG and a crisp texture are addictive. So much so I've promised myself a hit by the end of the day. I've been out and about a bit recently, so ended up eating at motorway service stations.
Without exception the "fast food" is not fast.
Yesterday, Burger King at Ferrybridge services, about 12:30 so peak time.
Everybody had to wait for their orders.... there were no burgers at all on the rack thing behind the servers.
One bloke taking orders, one other person running around getting things for the already-taken orders.
And a huge premium compared to high street branches.

If you're ever in South London, Morleys is the chain to go for! Cheap as fk, greasy as fk but it tastes awesome after a few pints
Behave. Morley's are gut rot in a box and a sure fire sign that I'm an area I shouldn't be flashing any jewellery. BrabusMog said:

Behave. Morley's are gut rot in a box and a sure fire sign that I'm an area I shouldn't be flashing any jewellery. I used to like PFC on the Oxford Road in Reading but haven't eaten there in ages. I distinctly remember it tasting better at night and that was sober.
Lol. That reminds me I went to go meet a girl in Elephant and Castle. Things went so well that by the time I woke up and was ready to leave I looked out the window to see my car had been clamped. At the age of 21 it was my most expensive date ever.
Her next door neighbour offered to cut it off for me then thought about it and commented "You're posh I bet its a legal car probably best to pay the fine blud"
