The Dickens Inn, St Katherines Dock.
Rammed with tourists, bad service, and expensive too. It does get the sun, but it is best avoided IMO.Too late for the OP, but for pub food I'd try:
The Bridge House on Tower Bridge Road.
The George Inn on Borough High St
The Garrison or The Woolpack on Bermondsey St
hth
ETA- For food I'd also ignore Browns and the Allbarone on the waterfront.

I like Wagamamas and opposite that, theres a couple of good pubs. Also spend a couple of hours in Borough Market...best food in the area but not quite waitress service!
fk that, the last time I went in the pub opposite Wagamama's, they made you queue in a line to order drinks, you couldn't just take a space at the bar. Wasn't even that busy either. They'd run out of real ale too, but didn't tell you until they'd poured the other drinks in your round.
Bunch of lads walked out leaving four pints of lager on the counter - which had been poured first - but couldn't get two pints of ale for the other guys in their group. The Bar Manager went ape and ran out after them, shouting that she'd report them to the Police for non-payment (the lagers were completely untouched on the car). Lads politely told her to 'fk off' and carried on walking.
Was in there on Monday. Dismal, nasty, grossly overpriced hovel. How does £4.75 for a 330ml bottle of Meantime Pale Ale sound?
Hasn't improved since I last visited some 5 years ago.

Chop House would have been my first suggestion. Used to live just over it and spend many an evening in the bar (7 years ago now though).
Another to try just a bit further down is the Blue Print in the Design Museum - bit more left field menu wise, but good scoff.
If you like Indian food, the Bengal Clipper on the backstreet is also well worth a punt.
The Dickens in St Katherines is grim by comparison to all 3 (and 100s of other places!).
My Son used to work there up until about 3 yrs ago, always good food for us in the Chop House, then he moved to the other one next to St Pauls but not a patch on the the one dockside Tower Bridge.Another to try just a bit further down is the Blue Print in the Design Museum - bit more left field menu wise, but good scoff.

I'm meeting my parents on Sunday near London Bridge in SE London on Sunday for some lunch, and I'm trying to find a good pub/restaurant that fits the bill
Requirements:
- Main courses between £8-£10
- Not likely to be full of drinkers / tourists
- Lots of tables
Bonus:
- Nice river view
Anywhere that is walking distance from London Bridge station is good so we can go as far as St Katherines Docks / Shad Thames to the east and Waterloo to the west.
Ideas please from people that know the area! Cheers!

Cote, a small chain that has opened at the front of Hays Galleria is your best bet. Riverside tables and good service on the two occasions that I've been there. Don't know if they do a traditional Sunday lunch as such though.
e.t.a. I see that you've chosen Browns, which is fine, just not out of the ordinary. Before you go consider the following -
I'd be going to the Garrison on Bermondsey Street, but you better book ahead as they always fill up on Sunday. Main course is about £12, but good value considering the quality.
Otherwise Zucca (also on Bermondsey Street) will have an Italian meat dish on the menu that will be a tasty substitute for a trad British meal. Probably my favourite Italian in London at the moment (you will have to book here also though).
Alternatively, if you want to cross the river the Captain Kidd doesn't do a bad Sunday lunch and is off of the tourist trail.
Remember, Borough Market isn't open on Sundays. If you're looking to wander around and have some food I'd be doing something like the following route -
London Bridge -> The George for a pre-meal ale -> cut down one of the alleys at the side of the George and walk though the hospital gardens -> Guy Street Park -> Leathermarket Gardens -> Bermondsey Street -> The Garrison
After lunch walk up Bermondsey Street then stop in Potters fields for a post lunch coffee, wander around Shad Thames then back West along the river to Borough Market.
