I hadn't posted what it was because I genuinely couldn't remember. However after consulting my wife (who was sober on that particular night), I can tell you it was deep fried duck with oyster sauce.

Mate, I'm oriental I can tell you that ain't no oyster sauce. Oyster sauce has the same colour and consistency as HP sauce. I reckon it's some sort of dish involving very underdone scrambled egg over the top of it...

Looks similar to Duck and crab sauce, our local serve this as their signature dish! Not had it myself BUT the people that have say it's great.

I'll stick to my crispy shredded chilli beef & noodles thanks

It does look like a very sick bet though

Any idea what it is then? It tasted very salty.

Yes, the coating is a crab and egg white sauce, several local chineses here do it. Looks grim but I really like it with a splash of soy sauce on it. It's usually served over some kind of meat of seafood fried in batter so the silky sauce contrasts with the crispy elements.

With a side order of crispy beef and some other glutinous, chilified MSG sauce?

Good work.

Tried a new Chinese takeaway tonight, was very good!

Starters : 'Seaweed', mini spring rolls, crispy won tons, sesame prawn toast, satay chicken skewers (hidden under the toast), some veggies, sweet & sour sauce and satay sauce.

Main : Crispy shredded chili beef, Singapore fried rice noodles.

I've been avoiding the FDR section for a long time I had food depression frown , I managed to come back on the other night and posted about home made pizza but missed this delight of a thread, it's like the anti matter version of the Show us a picture of your dinner thread biggrin

Here's one of mine from a long time ago.

2 crusty rolls, Mcain southern fries (deep fried of course, none of this namby pamby oven malarky), cheese singles and kebab meat. It goes together remarkably well. The southern coating on the fries means they are not overwhelmed by the kebab. It's quite balanced taste wise. Not up to the standard some have striven / dived / risked life and limb to get to though!

This thread reminds me of something I wanted always to do. A lot of people make 8 burger, 10 burger or even 100 burger burgers, but I thought it would be quite nice to do a McDonalds pyramid burger which rather than just be a load of burgers would have a nice shape and also different tastes, so tomorrow I will do it.

So it goes big to small. So from the top down

Cheeseburger
Big Mac
Quarter pounder
Big Tasty

I guess a double cheeseburger should go on, but that is quite like the cheeseburger. Will it upset my cone shape as well? Or even my colon ! wink I'lj throw away all the buns apart from the very top and bottom and the middle out of the big mac as it is part of a big mac. Photo's tomorrow.

If anyone fancies joining me on the McPyramid challenge, feel free.

Maybe if I eat all that I can get the girls like my hero Adam

Now then. We don't want a relapse old boy.

However, be sure to post up the pyramid.

And going forward, I think we ought to push for more filth being photographed in epic proportion. Or is that portions?
