Anyone going to try the ice coffee pods?

Are the limited edition £1 a pod ones any good?

I've never used the Starbucks ones, but a friend on Facebook was saying they resulted in most of the water ending up on the worktop when she tried.
Someone gave me some of the starbucks pods - did exactly the same. Went in the bin.

Had a Krups Expert Milk just over a week now and think its great. Although having problems pairing it to my phone.
Anyone else had problems with pairing?
Thanks.
Forgive me but why the hell does anyone need to pair their phone to a coffee machine?

Is this just tech for tech sake?

i only really wanted to use that function to vary the size of the different coffees
Was under impression this could only be done via blue tooth function

Yep, I have a Google Pixel and it just won't pair at all. I had to return my machine (for a different issue) and it wouldn't pair on the new one either so it must be app related. I did call their helpdesk and unfortunately they were very polite but no use at all, just reading a script.

Just a heads up - Nespresso is offering free delivery for 100 pods or more on their website up until midnight Sunday.

I was given, free (as in beer), four 10-packs of "Toast Coffee" coffee pods.

They were awful awful awful. I tried one of each, and they were all weedy and tasteless, like weak cafetiere coffee. I actually used up some more pods, because they were totally inconsistent in their pour - some were OK, but others just very slowly dripped out.

Worst of all, they're no cheaper than genuine Nespresso pods - £14 for 40, or 35p/pod.

Two thumbs down.

I've just ordered a pack of each (using the 100 pod free postage deal to top up my regular). The pods are 37p each, not a quid, so if they work well I might put in another order. Will post here with what I think (not as a machiato though as I only drink black coffee)

They had a different single origin or something at the time for £10 a pack.

Tempted to try the ice ones with the free delivery myself but i've not long put an order in.

Agreed - I got a sleeve each of the Intenso and Leggero on ice and wasn't impressed to be honest. I also got a sleeve of Dharkan which I really enjoyed - I will stock up on these when I do my next order, makes a change to Rosabaya.

Is there any way of making Long Black/Americano's directly from a Nespresso, or do you have to just put in hot water separately?

I like a bigger cup of coffee, rather than just an Espresso. It's the only thing that is holding me back from getting one.

We have the very basic machine and the left button we have set for espresso but the rig button has been reprogrammed for almost a full cup. Easy to do, you just keep it held down while the water flows until it fills your cup

Won't that send too much water through the pod? Hmmmm. My technique is use the right button to dispense what is just less than half a cup, then dispense the pod, then right button again to fill cup with water. Hey presto, americano.
