That's not good. I'm sure Doom will survive though, it's a great pint.

I gave a bottle of Sink the Bismarck to a mate for Xmas - he's not been brave enough to open it yet.

Is it a metal cap or a cork cap?

Good question, not sure. Metal, I think. I do remember it came with a bottle stop so they obviously don't expect it to go in one sitting hehe

Cracking pale ale, easy to drink with bags of citrus flavours. Consistently good brewery also IMO
The Red Lion in Sheffield has this on the moment.

Not sure what to make of that really. Doom Bar isn't the best or most interesting beer to come from Cornwall, though i'll drink it if there's nothing else available. Interestingly M-C are also the distributors for a much more interesting cornish brewery - Skinners.

Yeah I quite like the skinners lager after a surf. My friends have it in their cafe and I've not paid for a pint of it yet, might also be why I like it as I don't drink lager otherwise.
Sharps made a christmas ale I actually liked the year before last, hope they still create the beers they have been.

Skinners do two lagers - which one is in their cafe? Skinners Cornish Lager or Skinners Skindog Lager?

I'm not a big lager drinker but Skindog is lick

Skinners also do Betty Stogs, which is nice biggrin.

Had a pint of Brew Dog's 'Rip Tide' the other night, pretty good too.

Had a couple of these last night from the Copper Dragon Brewery. Very pleasant hoppy beer that went down well.

I think it's cornish lager, I don't recognise the skindog name. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Anyone else a fan of the Morrissey Fox Blonde.

One of my locals sells it on draft, but its a good bottle beer too.

Yes. I've bought it bottled a few times from Tescos. Not seen it on draught in my local yet.

If you like that you should give Sierra Nevada ale a try. My mate introduced me to it when I visited him in California a few years ago and it's started selling well over here now - much to my joy.

It's slightly crisper and with a sweeter after taste to the blonde and is the perfect BBQ beer. It's also available at Tesco in the world beers section.

Archers once brewed a "cask lager" - had it at the TT one year & drank the place dry of it.

Never seen anything like it since.
