You sure it's not coke? It's incredible stuff, nothing like you would expect tbh. It's not that sweet, very very spicy, almost like liquorice. I assume it's PX rather than Oloroso, it's hot that slightly rubbery smell to it. Very intense, it's an experience but oddly unsatisfying.
Popped over to France for the day this week and popped into Cite Europe (the shopping centre beside the EuroTunnel).
Was pleasantly surprised when I went into this shop.
Apart from the bar (which is open in the evenings) and the samplers they had a very extensive collection of whisky at not too bad prices.
Part of the Scottish selection
And a bit of the Japanese and Irish section with another bit of the Scottish section.
Well worth a visit. Oh and they sell wine also.

Yep, spent a while in there when I last went through. Came out with some Nikka From The Barrel, a Bowmore of some description and Black Grouse. Didn't get more as we were returning to the UK directly to fly up to Islay for a week! Was pleasantly surprised when I went into this shop.

Which stop ?
It's on the French side. Thought with all the runs to / from Le Mans over the next couple of weeks it would be a good stop off point.
It's up and opposite from Foot Locker.

Thanks for that. I've only ever been straight through to Paris , so why I've not seen it. It's on the French side. Thought with all the runs to / from Le Mans over the next couple of weeks it would be a good stop off point.

My trip to Scotland was rather unadventurous in regards to whisky in the end. I did buy a bottle of Glenmorangie and Ardbeg 10 though (the Ardbeg is really, really smoky, I love it) and tried a few out and about. We also visited the Talisker distillery on Skye (I bought a bottle of the standard Talisker 10). The tour was good and very interesting, although there weren't many places nearby to eat/drink which a little disappointing. We ended up going to a pub, which was nice, but very crowded with seemingly primarily people waiting to go on the distillery tour. They're missing a trick here by not having their own cafe I think.
As a side note, Scotland's a beautiful place. The roads/scenery were absolutely fantastic, especially coming from Skye back to Fort Augustus. My shed MG did well and suited the roads fantastically (curvy but fast roads). I'll definitely be going back again at some point, and will hopefully visit Islay next time.
I also got myself a Talisker glass.
