My children are very good in Restaurants been in numerous 1 Star places, they know how to behave but occasionally our youngest (5yo) is challenging and no matter what we do it is very difficult to get him onside. What we do which I find works well is when we go out usually once a week, we always explain the rules before going in.

On one occasion Alfie did his thing and the looks from the staff and other diners made us feel like st, i took him out and me and him went hungry. It doesn't matter what restaurant whether McDonalds or a fancy place, children need to be taught that when in that environment they sit down and occupy themselves with good conversation. The amount of people who sit and watch TV or eat off laps etc at home nowadays, makes it hardly surprising you get issues like this.

I don't wish to be rude but this sentence came across as a bit snobbish.
That's because you isolated it and quoted it without the context.
I was really well behaved as a child but now I'm in a terrible job; sales laugh
