Now that summer's finally arrived, I feel the need to make fire and prod meat with a stick.

So, BBQ dishes please. lick

To consist of a main dish plus an accompaniment, eg. a sauce, slaw, salad, or salsa. Or something else.

The usual rules apply: two weekends to cook, maximum of three pictures showing ingredients, prep/cooking and the final dish.

Entry closes at 12 noon on 10th October - good luck! biggrin

Uh-oh.

A test of my manhood, away from the security of induction hobs and fan assisted ovens.

I'll be aiming for mid-table respectability on this one I suspect...

Yup I'm definitely up for this one - I'd give you three guesses as to what I'll be making, but you'd probably only need one! wink

I also have plans for a rather good side dish. And the weather forecast is good for this weekend! biggrin

Long weekend this weekend and I have another ham to smoke so the BBQ will be on. Just a pity the weather is going to be wet and windy.

Will have to see what I come up with !

I'm sure this should count too. Isn't that the point of s BBQ essentially back to basics. Cooking with fire. No gas/electric or fancy kitchen appliances.

I might get my kids to enter their toasted Marshmallows wink

I have a load of chicken thighs, a big pork chop and some sausages. A bit of salad for some colour and a big pot of colslaw. I may take a couple of pics for the sake of it, might put them in for a laugh.

A bit of an unplanned entry - but whacked this out tonight as was Gooooood!

Ancho Chilli Rubbed Sirloin on a bed of Cuban Style black beans
(steak cooked on the Weber BBQ ; smoked with Hickory chips)

Served with sour cream & home grown chives, and erm... Sainsburys basics Tortilla chips shhh!

No ingredients or progress pictures , and i'll be honest the pictures are pretty cack, but it was genuinely gorgeous!

Might do a proper entry - but otherwise that'll do smile

Bunged my meat in a marinade last night. Genuinely can't wait to hear that first searing sizzle noise when it hits the grill.
