Radio 1 has Dick & Dom for christ sake! Presumably for those who find the Chuckle Brothers a bit too high-brow.

ROFLOL - they have a call in IIRC and the very last question do you prefer Dick or Dom... clearly done in a suggestive way.

R1 is designed mainly for the 2ndry school through to end of college and maybe some Uni, R2 blends in from Uni onwards, R3 - not sure who uses that to be honest & R4 is rather good.

Magic & Smoooth FM are good & fully agree R6Music is very good.

Fri Night I do enjoy talk sport with george "the Cat" galloway very topical and to be fair to him he has no issue taking strong debates from anyone and in general has a good retort (although I dont agree with him often he debates very well).

Great for when they get some young bird on and ask 'do you love Dick or do you love Dom?'

As if any of them are going to say 'I love Dom' hehe

Not any more they don't.
Really? My mistake. Head-hunted by Heart FM and to be replaced by Jade Goody and the pikey from the Iceland ads?

Tell me they still employ Nihal though? They wouldn't want the average IQ breaking the 25 ceiling surely?

Worrying thing is some girl callers are just that young girls - totally inappropriate to ask such questions.

Cox keeps the average nice and low with her minus rating.

GCSE Maths results for all the R1 DJ & support staff recently was frankly shocking and so many just made fun about it. One guy got 0% one got 1% another 7%!

GCSE Maths is simple IIRC top score was 24%... If I was the boss I'd possibly push for them to all receive training and pass this pretty basic qualification.

I remember the good old days of radio 1 that is the Mark and Lard show which was during the afternoon yes

The times i nearly trashed the barge pissing my pants to that pair was almost a daily occurrence hehe

At least Mark Ratcliff is on Radio 2 now with another fella but unfortunately they are on at around 8pm frown

Shame that yes should be on in the afternoon smile

A work of genius; using a play on the name "Dick" for comic effect, it must have the audience doubled-up belly laughing. I've no idea where they get ideas like that from I really haven't. It's a bit of a one trick pony though.

Quite. I always prefer to remember them as Dick & Dick.

I liked R1 when it was Simon Mayo for the breakfast show, followed by Simon Bates, Jackie Brambles for lunch, Steve Wright for the drive home then John Peel in the evening, DLT on Saturday morning and Tommy Vance for the Friday Rock Show.

No idea who is on it now or why anyone would listen.

radio 1 is a station I haven't listened to in years, pretty much when they first put on Sarah Cox, my god that woman is dumber than a box of hair.

As for when people think Moyles is funny, try almost any other morning DJ as a comparison and then you'll realise that Moyles sense of humour is patchy at best and mostly a display of bullying and "i'm a bluff northerner so I must be funny"

Scott actually has quite alot of amusing features on his shows and at least he plays some music! Moyles only plays a record every few hours!

I think you've missed the point.

They were doing it to counter all the media hype that the exams are getting easier what with 97% odd passing.

Hence supposedly educated adults with good jobs found it difficult, therefore the exams 'are' hard.

They were never meant to pass, BBC propaganda at its worst. The alcohol 'challenge' is another example, if Aled is found to be perfectly ok after 3 weeks of drinking 3 cans of stella a night the whole stunt will have failed.

"Me, in my soft top Bedford Rascal!"

The best Fat Harry White quote - and I've no idea how they weren't taken off the air for this - was something about "one up the chocolate box". Absolute class.
