Oh come now, FNM are anything but mainstream and are blatently not rubbish. They might not be your cup o' char but that statement is way harsh.

Totally agree. Anyone can have an opinion that a band is rubbish, that's fair enough, though in FNMs case I totally disagree.

But "mainstream" - rollox. Just try their first 2 albums, and you'll see where their roots lay.

I reckon "We Car A Lot" (which predates Nirvana by 2 years 1985) is a far more important track than ".........Teen Spirit". Personal preference of course.

I went to Download almost solely to see them (14 years since the last time...)...and I wasn't disappointed! Not keen on King for a Day, but really like most of the rest of their stuff, esp. Album of the Year - agree on Stripsearch, that was one of my highlights of the night!

Thanks for posting the set up...anyone know how to download off YouTube?!? whistle
Not sure if this violates any terms or anything, however considering it's not available to purchase I doubt it somehow. I'm currently watching the avi, which I got from my favourite website. I see the website as a fusion of two small cars, and the file I found was well seeded.

Y'dig?

Currently listening to Patton belting out Evidence in what might well be Spanish. Forking legend!

I don't think anyone was claiming Teen Spirit was "important". It was what made "alternative" "mainstream", if you get me. It turned a lot of kids off Guns N Roses and Bon Jovi, and on to Soundgarden and Sonic Youth. I decided to not care about a particular scene and still like all of them, but that's a different story. I probably wouldn't have known about Sonic Youth and the Pixies until much later if I hadn't heard Nevermind, so I guess it probably had the same influence on a lot of other people.
However I managed to completely avoid listening to any Faith No More until I was about 18 (having been into music in a big way since I was 8) and indeed thought that "Mid-Life Crisis" was by Third-Eye Blind. Around the point when Mid-Life Crisis got big, many friends claimed to have been into them "for ages" and produced suspiciously new-looking CDs at parties.

I guess I don't find them offensive, just not that interesting. I'm certainly glad they're headlining Pukkelpop rather than some crap indie band called "The Somethings". However I am more excited about seeing The Offspring and Deftones.

confused Being thick. frown

PM me...

I thought you must be referring to miniclip, but that seems to be games only. Minipunto seems to get a few Spanish references, but no website exists...and Minimetro seems too bizarre to even contemplate! wink
