Glasto again - coming back to the UK for that

Then Muse again at Fuji Rock and then may get over to Summersonic in Chiba

maybe isle of wight or bestival. forgot to register for glasto so it'll likely be dead sunny this year.

why not and some other smaller ones . might check out farm fest as I met one of the guys who run it on a stag do.

also looking at camping in europe for a couple of weeks with the lowlands festival at the end.

Jealous of Lowlands, think I'm going next year.

why not this year? its only 70quid for 3 days!

hoping to do paris, bruge, maybe cologne, some countryside, then chill out on texel island (hopefully with a bit of sailing) before heading to amsterdam for supllies before the festival.

hmm, this slipped under my radar. ray davies too, might have to pop along.

a word of warning though if you haven't seen dylan live - don't get your hopes too high! I was disappointed the first time, second time I had more of an idea what to expect

Ha ha!! I know what you mean - I've seen Dylan many times live over the last 15 years, and I think he's just awesome. Totally understand how he's not to some people's taste though - his voice was never 'pretty' and it's certainly not in it's first flush of youth. It's his only appearance in the UK this year so I feel compelled to be there!!!

that, plus its not exactly straight forward in knowing what song it is he's playing! enjoyed it better when I saw him on guitar (sadly rare these days) and he played some songs from the basement tapes.

only seen him play arenas though, a chance to get up close might be too hard to resist

Also true! Most of his live stuff bears little resemblance to album versions. I've seen him a few times in arenas and also been lucky enough to catch him at slightly smaller venues and got close up. It's a totally different experience - if you go make an effort to get as close as you can - just don't get in my way wink

You guys should look a bit further afield. Yes, Reading and Leeds can be good and yes, Glasto is Glasto, but I shall be basking in guaranteed 30 degree sunshine here

Its a fair comment and each to their own, but i'd far rather be splashing around in a muddy English field listening to some of the biggest bands in the world than relaxing on a sunny beach listening to people i've never heard of.

Personal preference of course.

I'm working Glade again this year but that's probably the only festival that I'm going to be able to get to... Although next year I'm off to Burning Man in the states. biggrin
