I remember couple of years ago and we decided to put a few quid in the juke box in local village club, I found Angel Of Death was on it tongue out
They quickly turned the volume down.

I don't really listen to any new stuff anymore. I'm stuck in the era I grew up with. Currently listening to this. I just don't think it can be bettered! I could listen to this non stop and never get bored. Apologies for the drunken post, I've been listening to the mrs' music all night and needed to listen to some proper music! ..banghead

Seen them on the Reign in Pain tour at Edinburgh Playhouse 1987, gig of the decade for me regardless of the Tinnitus thats been with me ever since.music

Oh good god, yes

https://necropanther.bandcamp.com/album/betrayal

Been spinning this pretty much solidly since it was released, pretty close to a perfect album IMO.

Thanks for the link, it's not remotely bad albeit not quite right for me.

That’s very Eighties thrash, a bit like Quorthon singing for Nuclear Assault. I like it.

The new track from Cattle Decapitation is pretty good.

Certainly at the more extreme end of metal but I do enjoy listening to them.

It's certainly an improvement on the Death Atlas material, which was frankly terrible. But being totally frank I don't think they've released a really good album since Humanure.

To be honest, I've only really listened to bit of them for like 12 months so I need to explore the back catalogue more

Monolith of Inhumanity is a relatively strong album, probably the best of their more recent, slightly more melodic work.

Went to the Metallica 72 Seasons global premiere at the cinema tonight, where they played all the tracks from the album around interviews with the band. Great songs, should be a good album. Looking forward to listening to it tomorrow without Lars spouting bks between each song!

I'm working in the centre of Bristol today so hoping to go for a wander and pick up a copy. The tracks I've heard so far have been really good. I really enjoyed Hardwired too. They got the heaviness back but with the groove of their 90s stuff.

Defo mate. Great stuff. thumbup
It's funny they can be classed as 'feel good' music but I just get huge pleasure out of listening to some of their stuff as it reminds me of great times back in the day. biggrin
I bought SOH on the day of it's release. Great times.

I've tried listening to the new Metallica stuff. I just don't 'feel ' what they're doing anymore, sadly. I'll probably pick the album up at some point but definitely not a day one purchase for me anymore. The new Overkill album on the other hand sounds bloody brilliant!!music

Hardwired had 4/5 superb tracks on it, really really good ones. This from what I’ve listened to so far is very similar, nothing standing out yet (like Spit out the bone) but it’s early days.

Agree, they good tracks on Hardwired were really really good. I loved Atlas Rise!

I'm finding this similar too, the groove on that opening track has stuck in my head. Screaming Suicide I thought was great too. I think Hetfields vocals sound really strong too and they seem to be making exciting music again. Definitely closer to the thrash of old but with that groove they had during Load/Reload.
