I'm afraid not, Mr Ace, for I have a defence.

Saturday Night is about joy. Its about that time in your life when you could go out in the evening and meet someone new and your life could change. Or you could just end up having a dance and drink with a friend but still have a great time. Now for me that time is long gone but it makes me think of that era in my life and I smile. And that's the major difference between the two. The people who made Saturday Night know its rubbish and the people who listen to it know its rubbish too. But its happy, bouncy, fun rubbish!

Taylor Mallratwitharichdaddywhothinksshesapopstar isn't fun. Its souless, dreary, market targeted, manipulative, rubbish made by a girl who knows that one hit will enable her to exploit the 13-15 year old young girl market who, having never listened to any female artist who writes their own songs or actually can give a vocal performance, will think she's deep and like, meaningful. I assure you in two years it will be Taylorwho?
That is actually a fair and reasoned argument Mr The H-T and one with which you have swayed my opinion. I salute you sir. yes

Oh and it's Mrs Ace. wink

Trace smile
I humbly apolgise for my error. Even more so as I think that I've done it on another thread before.paperbag

I will remember in the future.

I bought Startrekkin too.paperbag But maybe someone on here can solve a couple of Urban Legends about it;
a.) How did they get permission to use all the characters, likenesses etc from Paramount?
b.) And is it true that they lost all the royalities from that record to The Sealed Knot Civil War Re-Enactment Society as the tune was 'lifted' from that society's marching song?

Incredible track!

I too, have a stupid amount of 80's hair rock but I think my biggest guilty pleasure is the work of Stan Bush who provided a lot of action film soundtracks (and the Transformers the movie soundtrack).

This is one of his 'best'

I went to see 'Rock of Ages' last week while on holiday in NY. After 4 pints of JD and coke I was convinced that "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey is the greatest song ever written.

Roowlin Roawlin Roawlin... ROOAR HEEEED.... it's a shocker but I think I need to digitise it and share it with you. In fact they should put it in the sinbin like piped anti hoodie music.

Sins of the vinyl kind : Oh yes, I commited many, but regret few.......biggrin
23 years ago, and way ahead of their time :
SIGUE SIGUE SPUTNIK´s "Love Missile F-111"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk30a0qsVIk&fea...

Produced by Giorgio Moroder (of Donna Summer fame,
and financier of the "Moroder Cizeta 16" ) http://www.giorgiomorodergallery.com/cizeta/m_cize...

SSS were a hyped-up band, so hyped that they are the only band to
actually sell the space between the songs on the LP as adverstising space.
They have to be taken with a pinch of saltkoka, this was the 80s....nuts

Cheers,
Benni
