I don't like Queensryche but their 1981 EP featuring Queen of The Reich is not just a blast from the past but an ME262 flying straight into Winky's bottom.

Elsewhere, Gary Moore, now lost to the hopeless tedium of perpetual, bare bones blues bandola snoring, did an album called G-Force in 1979 with a track White Knuckles/Rockin' & Rollin' which again, set a standard for halcyon, moshular intros beyond the comprehension of your avaerage, thronging grunter.

Both were spun throughout TV's glory stint during NWOBHM on The Friday Rock Show back when and with yer 'Sens' set to 11, it was always an event.

Massive Attack - Teardrop. That first piano chord sends shivers through me every time I hear it.

Dear All,

The best no contest:
Bonzo Dog Doo-dah Band: The Intro and the Outro. Like to introduce Legs Larry Smith, drums etc

Coming up on the rails:
Lulu: Shout. We-e-e-e-e-e-elll.
T.Rex.: Metal Guru. Whoa-ho-ho yeah, yeah.
Motorhead: Ace of Spades. The band take it in turns to fall down the stairs...

...with everything louder than everything else...

...turned up to 11, well that's what it sounds like to me smile

AC/DC: Whole Lotta Rosie
Janet Jackson: What Have You Done for Me Lately - LP version
Robin Trower: Bridge of Sighs. I remember a quiz with just the intro played, easy!

Another one that's all intro:
Disco Dick: Disco Dick

There ought to be some trance in there, how about:
Disco Citizens: Footprints. Then there's 13minutes of trance excellence, awesome.

How could I forget:
James Brown: Sex Machine.
Fellas, I'm ready to get up and do my thing (yeah go ahead!)
I wanta get into it, man, you know (go ahead!)
Like a, like a sex machine, man, (yeah go ahead!)
Movin' and doin' it, you know
Can I count it off? (Go ahead)

One, two, three, four!

+1 for U2: Streets Have No Name
I also love the Feelgood's Windup. The world's most pointless 12" single at just over 2m long! It is LOUD though smile

there may be more, got to cook my dinner now,
regards,
Jet

Short and sweet! He's no Wilko, but that's a cool bit of guitar!

"Speed me towards death" by Rob Dougan; you may recognise it from the Audi RS4 challenge on Top Gear where Jezza races the speed climbers up the mountain. The instrumental with the violins gives a sense of granduer, but as soon as the vocals kick in I can't help but feel it turns into a James Bond-style theme tune frown

Iron Maiden - Aces High

Starts off with 'Churchill's Speech' before breaking into that awsome riff

"We shall go on to the end.
We shall fight in France,
We shall fight on the seas and oceans,
We shall fight with GROWING confidence and GROWING strength in the aiiiiir!
We shall defend our island whatever the cost may be.
We shall fight on beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds,
We shall fight in the fields and in the streets.
We shall fight in the hills,
We shall never surrender."

Yes. Rob Dougan's stuff is great with some top intros. Shame he hasn't done a second album
