Speaking of Propellerheads, check out what the bass does as it goes into the break around 5 mins in - and the subsequent synth bass around 6:30... Positively evil. In fact, unless people are listening on an awesome system, they probably won't even hear the bass, it's THAT low.

Fantastic track.

Onyx -Shiftee

Whilst not really my cup of tea these days, as a yoof I remember playing this to test a massive pair of Wharfdale speakers my Dad bought from somewhere, hooked up do a beefy amp.

And they made my vision blur somewhat.

Certainly won't be to everyones taste, but you can't deny the bass.

Get this going through a decent stereo rather than your laptop speakers.

First track that popped into my head. Never heard a HIFI yet that copes with it properly.
Without sounding tw*ttish you should hear it through mine, it easily copes with LFO. It really is a superb track in all it's glory. In fact if you want some truly sub shaking 'tunes' try Pete Namlook, I can't remember which track it is exactly but I have one that shakes the bass cones so much you can see them physically moving at least 1/2" no mean feat with 12" bass cones and a transmission line smile

It's either Seasons Greetings - Autumn or Namlook 7 - Subharmonic Interference, the excerpts on youtube don't seem to have the ultra low bass portion.

Ah...heavy sh't! biggrin

Possibly my favourite from this list - worth checking out just for the cool (& creepy) video - Tool's videos are genuinely impressive>

Tool - Sober

Other stuff that really gets me going - ordered from mainstream through to very much not-so. If anyone can recommend similar artists to any of this lot (that I've not already got) there's a virtual beer going your way...

New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel remix)

Project Pitchfork - 2069 AD

Front Line Assembly - Corruption

Stabbing Westward - Lies

Ministry - Stigmata

(FLA and P. Pitchfork should appeal to the heavier DnB / electronica guys...both are perfect driving tracks)

Water by Horsepower Productions on Tempa. Obviously, a YouTube clip isn't going to give you the clarity so buy the album.
