I HATE him for this reason more than any other.

How can a person who chose journalism / publc speaking as a profession be such an utter fwckwit ?

Wiley is cringe inducing, !
I just think Joe Wiley is a talking nightmare, her stupid sad story of other people bad luck in life are just bloody awful. And she sound like a talking marketing department for the young people. Sad.

i like him. well i like the combo of him and chappers.

saturdays are good when you get the chappers and ciomedy dave line-up.

i'd listen to terry wogan but he's not on until i have left - when i am at home it's still that boring boring thick dull woman who is neither interesting nor amusing. "oh what's this story in the newspaper about energy efficient lightbulbs..." zzzzzzzz

I do miss listing to Mark and Lard on radio1, they where excerlent.
And it would appear that you are their ideal target audience.
Well they made me laugh, which is more then I can say for most of radio1 today.

isn't redcliffe on radio 2 now? or radio 6 (or somewhere)...

let's face it, DJs are either boring or marmite. terry wogan is the only person that most people seem to appreciate and even then people don't! wiley etc whilst coming across as quite amiable are just boring. i like what's his name, the kiwi, but mostly because of the sheer level of energy he seems to have...!

It's on puropose rolleyes He is purposefully mocking those people that get it wrong. He also over uses 'actual' we so often mis-use today.
He has successfully made you look silly.

Generally have R1 on in the car in the morning, as you can guarantee the news is late, so I get to hear it.

Turn it OFF on way home to avoid that Mills person.

Turned it OFF Monday morning as he was covering Moyles (who is almost as unfunny) - didn't occur to me to turn to R2, that is for my Mum & Dad hehe

Ali - 38 & a bit hehe
My mum isn't old enough to listen to Radio 2 yet. My dad is being converted to Radio 1 after years of having me be tortured by Radio 2 drivel.

You can listen to Radio 2 today, now if you turned it on last year it would be exactly the same.

There is no other radio station that plays music that is in the same league as Radio 1, some stuff is cr@p, a lot is good. I will quite happily listen to the talking parts, but mostly for the music.

So all those who say Radio 2 is the best, you are just showing your mental age. Generally about retirement age. YOu will also be more than likely cynics.

Radio 1 in disarray? WTF Im sorry but if you all think that then take a look at their listener numbers...

Chris Moyles - been doing it a little too long now IMHO at the start his Sat morning show was "off the hook" and that followed for some time into his morning show. Their remakes of current songs are rather good that song "Country Boy" Oh arr made me crack up.
Sara Cox - was dire
Zoe Ball - really enjoyed her
Steve Wright - excellent

I recall some 7 years ago Scott Mills was filling in on the Breccie show and he had this feature called "Wet Dream", it was for people/parents/brothers/sisters/partners/shared house mates to throw a bucket of iced water over someone in the house who was lazy every morning. I recall one morning show a bucket and he asked them to splash it about by the phone then open the door quietly pull back the Duvet then unleash the cold water all over them.

I nearly had a couple of accidents with that on total class. One mum did that to her (guessed afterwards Chav son) and he aparently sat bolt upright in bed and said what the F*&k did you do that for then went back to sleep in the soaking wet bed.
Another one in a student house went into a lads room (it was a lad throwing the bucket of water - the night before he had brought this lady back and had her all night loudly) and threw the bucket all over them they didnt have any sheets she screamed loudly as the ice cold water landed all over them. The lad had to run out of the room and odwn the staris as his house mate was running after him only stopping when he went out to the street as he had nothing on.

Fantastic Mr Mills.

? What a station that plays Status Quo, Queen, Blur, Oasis, Brother Beyond.
In fact most of the time R2 is music from the last 5 years, Sunday morning love show is really good 9am - 11am then you have Parki fantastic.
R2 form Sat morning too J Ross or Mark Le Marr.

Afternoon Chris Evans such real talent - last week they had the show in a hot tub, sally traffic was in there & likewise the Business Badger (who is a fitti).

Real traffic updates, quality news, good comedy and good music.

Substitute 'old' for 'mature' and 'age' for 'experience' and you'd be about right.

Radio 1 has Dick & Dom for christ sake! Presumably for those who find the Chuckle Brothers a bit too high-brow.

Try 6Music for decent tunes and less of the retarded chatter (George Lamb excepted).

Also, what was all the crap about Aled and the drinking experiment. Pure propaganda in my mind - there was no way on earth they were ever going to say that after having his few pints every night he was actually still OK.
yes More fking propaganda, just like them all failing the maths exam.
He's drinking 10 units a day for 3 weeks, equivalent to about 3ish cans of stella a night.

What's the betting he fails all the tests at the end of it? If you have a look at the website it's full of bullst of the 'drink like this you'll look like old man steptoe in 10 years' type crap.

fking BBC!

NO you and Welshbeef are right on the money there.

I will put the weekend Radio 2 on, as Radio 1 have employed morons.
