Glastonbury 2015 thread
Discussion
I went for the first time last year, going again this year. It completely blew me away in 2014, it made every other festival I've been to seem a bit pants and lacklustre in comparison!
Can confirm that the Foos are awesome live, saw them do a show a few years ago which ranks as one of the best gigs I've ever been to, so really looking forward to seeing them again (shame the new album isn't so good mind). A bit of Lionel on Sunday afternoon will do nicely too!
http://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/glastonbury/... is pretty good for lineup rumours - the guy that runs it is usually spot on, he predicted last year's headliners well before the announcement. He did say Coldplay were almost definitely headlining 2015 a few weeks ago, but backtracked over the weekend, so looks like that's not happening - whether or not that's a good thing depends on taste I suppose!

Yeah, it's not the best - just click the tabs for the relevant day or look at the A-Z bit for the full list. AC/DC were listed as a strong rumour a while back, but they've been removed now so that's not happening it seems - shame
Sadly the Taylor Swift rumour is for this year... Doesn't really matter for a festival the size of Glasto though I suppose, if she does perform I'm sure there'll be something else to see or do when she's on, much like when that trollop Lily Allen was on last year. There's so much I didn't really do or see much of last year, I can't wait to go back now I know a bit better what to expect - almost counting the days!

Lionel Richie - yeah whatever, hopefully the Sunday pm slot not a headliner
Lionel is definitely in the Sunday afternoon slot that Dolly Parton did last year - http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/lionel-richi...mantis84 said:

Oh don't get me wrong, I pray for a simultaneous gap of bands I am not interested in, so I can go and see some of the other stuff. This one will be my 7th Glastonbury and they have all been great.Alt-J are a strong rumur which would be excellent
Second Glastonbury, this year. Foo Fighters announcement had me bouncing off the walls as I've missed seeing them when friends have gone a few times over the years and they're one of my favourites.
Alt-J would be very good as well, I missed them at Bestival 2012 and I couldn't even tell you why.. I'm sure there was a good reason.

Come on, that died in October and was about ticket hunting
This is about who is playing, who you want to see, who is a powerfully built director paying £3,000 for a Winnebago etc
Fairs, just giving you a heads up if you hadn't seen it.This is about who is playing, who you want to see, who is a powerfully built director paying £3,000 for a Winnebago etc
First time going this year. Was really hoping for the mighty AC/DC but that seems to have evaporated. Faith No More were rumoured at one stage on efestivals but I can't find it now.
Taylor fking swift is a bad joke. Foo's I've seen before a few times and they were ok I guess.
Any major headliner predictions anyone? Efestivals seems to be tying itself in knots trying to work out what's going on.....
It's been a while since Radiohead popped up anywhere - secret gig or otherwise. They were recording a new album towards the end of 2014. I was hoping they would make an appearance last year at Glastonbury as I was there, but it obviously didn't happen. I'm not going this year, but I would love to see a performance even if it's on the TV!

Seriously, don't worry too much about the headliners, the biggest issue I alwasy have is , from about 4pm till close on all 3 major days there are at least 2 bands on at the same time I want to see.Taylor fking swift is a bad joke. Foo's I've seen before a few times and they were ok I guess.

Last year I didn't watch any of the headline acts, one day I was losing my brain at a crazy night at Shangri-la, other 2 there were better things on in the smaller stages
Agree that the headliners aren't so important - I think people get hung up on who it is when in reality it's a couple of hours of each day and there's always going to be something else to see if they're not to your liking. I only saw 30 minutes of Metallica last year and none of the other two headliners and still had an amazingly good time. Taylor Swift headlining would be pretty ste mind!
This year, in addition to the Foos, I reckon we could be seeing Blur (new album out, plus they're doing gigs again) and Elton John - efestivals forum had some good info which made it sound possible. Which all in all wouldn't be too bad - I'd go crazy if Eavis pulled in either AC/DC or, and even though Roger and Pete are getting on a bit, The Who would make my year/decade/life!
