Probably the most relaxing and nostalgic piece of music I've ever heard. I heard it years ago but it has stayed with me, mainly due to the fact that it evokes memories of those days as a youngster when the whole extended family were around the dinner table, chatting away while the children play out back.

The music is classical, with the faint sound of adults talking and laughing and kids playing over the track. On recollection they could be speaking French or Italian.

Any help tracking down the song would be hugely appreciated, all suggestions welcome!

Ace of Spades, by Motorhead? Seriously, the only piece of music I can think of that comes vaguely close is the piano instrumental 2/3 of the way through Somebody by Depeche Mode. Not classical obviously, but a very subdued song and features the sound of children playing in the distance.

Thanks Zahal. I know that song. This piece of music is a good few minutes long though, possibly a remix of that track.

Is it Armstrong/De Vries/Hooper: Balcony scence from Romeo and Juliet?

We had this playing at our wedding while waiting, for Mrs GMan to arrive. Had everyone in tears before we had even started.

It isn't this either, good suggestion though. Doubt I'll ever find it as I don't have a name or lyric to go along, just a general theme. Very relaxing piece of music, I'll keep searching anyway!
