The golden era of chillout seems to have been mid 90's.
All the recent compilations have just been re-hashes of old material.

Has anyone got any genuinly new stuff to talk of ?

My particular favourites include:

Lemonjelly
Theivery Corporation
Herbaliser
Quantic
Blue States
Amon Tobin
Flow Dynamics
Kinobe
Bonobo
Cinematic Orchestra

Chilled tunes, heavy on the beats and some good sampling type stuff smile

along those lines...

As you've already cited Quantic & Bonobo in your favourites, what about some of the other artists on the Tru Thoughts label you can pick up their bi-annual samplers (full albums, now 2x cds)for £5:

Belleruche
Me & You
The Broken Keys
Freddie Cruger

Also how about (some, or most aren't brand new though)

Ben Westbeech
Christian Prommer
Clara Hill
Jazzanova
Eva Be
Fat Freddy's Drop
Mr Scruff
Plantlife
The RH Factor
Sia
St Germain
Stuff on the Brownswood label (Gilles Peterson's record label)
Compost Records

Or you could take a look at Last.Fm

Also - try Ulrich Schnauss.

2 Albums in particular - Far away trains passing by and A strangely Isolated Place.

The latter was recorded with Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine) and Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins)

Very Good.

I've checked out most of these by Ninja, some are hit and miss.

A couple I forgot to mention...

The oddly named Sean Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra rather good smile
Board of Canada , done some good stuff, but can be hit n miss.
