Well they're the pinacle of late 1980s early 1990s West Midlands engineering so think of that what you will. Probably a luck thing.

I'm used the the pinnacle of early 1990s Blackpool engineering, but could probably do without the luck factor until I've got myself established..

Currently thinking Japanese 4X4 or BMW/Merc daily hack. Dare I say it, the ubiquitous PH MX5 as a wild card candidate..

Well, all I can say is that when I finally decided that I needed a daily driver instead of using the TVR for everything, (weekly commute between Sheffield and Bristol got to be a bit much) I bought an Alfa 145.

Which was great, until it blew up. As did the 147 Sillyspeed I replaced it with.

I actually considered one of the 3.2 GTA 147s but that blew up at the dealer before I even got to test drive it..

The 110 was fabulous though. Absolutely ideal if you want to go 50 mph anywhere. No more than 50 mind you..

Always loved the XJS. They have aged very well in my opinion.

that's either a well done conversion [correct dash, external hinges & rear lights - grille is an easy swap] or it's a lot older than it makes out. bet it's fked either way.

I'd say its about right as it's a non-S and it is knocking on for five years old. Ambers hint at a US import too, which raises all of the questions one doesn't want when considering pork.

A cheeky bid at 85k for cash tomorrow seems a deal though, what was the number again?!

I'd wager it's a cracking set up actually, and probably quick enough for day to day driving. And it does look good!

Selling it on might be a pain as most manuals seem to be S spec. That said, if you buy cheap enough who cares.

very!

been looking at a few se7en sites recently and i think if you wanted a road going one in the UAE, then it'd be hard to look past the brunton superstalker. basically a caterham re-engineered for a GM drivetrain. their supercharged v6 version gives 280bhp in a 660kg tub for a bargain $18k + shipping.
