the history does make for comforting reading i agree. a quick google suggests that TPC charger gives 100bhp over the standard carrera, a total of 350bhp hauling 1475kg. 4WD and manual, with a/c.....

forgive my mechanical incompetence but what would the benefit of adding an intercooler be? i see this is available from TPC as an option.

given the last 964 c4 manual i saw on dubizzle was AED120k, and is only AED7k more than the best price of the sharjah C2, i think this one just might be worth an email

the C2's i've seen have been around AED85K as jap imports, tidy but with no history. i got the one i was interested in down to 75K but he won't go further. as you've seen, it's cost competitive to import a US garage queen.

if you're anywhere near colorado you could go check out that supercharged C4 for me [posted a couple of days ago].

the stang, 930 tubby and impala are all on my list too. however:

the pork says it needs paintwork and has awful wheel and a 964 bumper/mirrors. maybe a bitsa.

the stang looks wrong with the hoodscoop and chin spoiler to my eyes which isn't standard and also wrong for a gt350 clone.

can't say much against the impala except it's so bloody enormous!

oh, and 90k for the speedster is having a giraffe given how unsuitable it is for use over here!

no scam, it's a replica. works out around £15k which is reasonable for one, but it'll have a 1.6l VW engine, no aircon, a kit-car soft-top [e.g. chocolate teapot] and a fibreglass body of unknown origin.

if, and i mean IF, it's a Beck then i would be tempted to go look at it.

this week i really really want an original swb landcruiser. there's quite a few in indonesia and they really look the part - old school/rugged without going camp like the wrangler.

apparently they only ceased production of the j40 in brazil in 2001. would be good to find one of those on the cheap.

what were the minibus taxi's like in bali? i'll have to grab a photo, but here they are wide arched with sideskirts, stickered up like a shopping list/ricer with snorkels and spoilers everywhere. most amusing.

tis only my opinion, but i still think you need your head read when you look at the alternatives. ok it has a big v8 and lots of toys, but the looks are challenging and i'd imagine it has the roadholding ability of a fat bird after too many vodkas.

i've looked at maybe 4-5 of them so far and all have been a bit rough. i know they are tough old girls but cosmetics cost a fair bit on these. the green one looks decent though.

merkin spec high level tail-light is the most abominable aspect about it. i do like how the r107 suits sheepskin mats so well though!
