With the motorsport season fast approaching along with the better weather I was looking to taking my son to a few events over the forthcoming season.

He is really keen on anything motorised but not old enough to have a long attention span so was looking for something relaxed and quite close to home (Herts / Essex border), so we could pop along to an event for an hour or so at a weekend. Not really fussed as to the discipline (Off road trialing, grass track) anything goes really.

I have no idea whats around (if anything) so if anyone point me in the right direction of a website or any other info that would be great?

Cheers

Old topic but check out http://aemc.org.uk/ for many events in South East around Herts/Essex.

Offer your services as a marshal and you'll get entry to many otherwise non spectator events!

Try going stock car racing . Its very good entertainment for both motorsport fans and the family and relatively cheap day out too . try Spedeworth.co.uk for all fixtures and news etc

Haven't been for some time, but West Essex Car Club usually run sprints at North Weald. I've also marshalled at sprints at Wethersfield MOD some years ago....
