Does anyone know what timetable the BTCC runs these days, do they have any friday running? i was thinking i might pop to croft on friday for a look around and some pictures if they do but its being advertised as saturday, sunday only, but i'm sure they used to use the friday as a practice day for the different races

Normally the support races are testing all day Friday, with the exception of Thruxton because of noise restrictions. I would have thought Croft would be ok, but with all the fuss last year about noise it might be worth checking. Whenever I used to go there were always a few hardcore spectators that you saw from Friday till Sunday every meeting.

The support races run every Friday of a BTCC meeting, usually it's just practice/testing but they also sometimes run a qualifying session then too. Saturday and Sunday timetables can be found here;

http://www.btcc.net/html/racedates.php

Press where it says "view" next to the circuit you want and then the timetable link can be found just below the circuit map where it says timetable alongside a small PDF logo.

Timing for all BTCC events including Fridays can be found on this site;

www.tsl-timing.co.uk (Fridays are under BTCC and Support tests along with test sessions that are separate from the weekends, whereas the rest of the weekend are under BTCC and Support races.)

Thanks for the timing site, shame the touring cars don't seem to run on fridays anymore, cost saving i guess

They easily fit two long practice sessions, Qualifying and three races into two days so theres no need to space it out any further. I don't think it's cost saving as the teams often arrive late on Thursdays and so are there for three full days anyway. I can't remember the last time they ran on Friday, would have been quite a long time ago.
