Hi all, first time posting in this part of ph.

Old man is coming up to retirement time soon and wants something to fill his time.

He has mentioned hillclimb events, as it's his birthday coming up soon thought the ideal prezzie was a few books on the events, cars and how to build/mod a car for these events.

Any ideas on any good ones?

Thanks all.

That's brilliant. Thanks for those. Shall have a look to find those for him.

That's the next thing, when there are some events closeish to home we shall be going over to have a watch and a wander.

Thanks

Never mind reading about hillclimbing, why not treat him to a day at The Gurston Down hillclimb drivers school, it is non-competitive, previous hillclimb experience is not needed and he can do it in his normal road car http://www.gurstondown.org/gurston-down-hill-climb....
Thanks for that. I was unaware such places existed!

That's definitely a possibility, not too far away from us as well. biggrin

Just a quick update. Mother got me and old man the day at Gurston Down hill climb school but it's not until may so a bit of a wait.

In the mean time dad is looking to see what cars are aboutsmile.

He saw a mx5 with a proper cage in but it was sold before we could actually go and look at it, also seen a little Renault Clio on the net that has taken his fancy.
