PH Le Mans 2010 Gear Available Now

Don't tell 'em your name, Pike. (They don't like it stickered-up 'em...)

Build-up for the 24hr race at Le Mans is often fraught with last-minute panic, as team preparations go on well into the eleventh hour.

Here at PH we know we have no chance of competing in our favourite race (despite Riggers becoming a racing legend in the Caterham Academy), but we wanted some of that looming deadline excitement, and a few of those 'will we, or won't we' doubts that wake you up sweating in the middle of the night. To help us achieve this noble goal we have left the unveil of the PH Le Mans T shirts until the very last minute this year.*

Le Mans offers so many different things to those that go, and designing a shirt to appeal to everyone is hard work, but in the end we thought the 'Dads Army' theme was rather fitting in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. It does seem as though the UK rises a few inches above sea level as most of our cars head over for the annual invasion of Le Mans, with all roads leading to La Sarthe. As usual Mr Will had his say, but all he seemed to be interested in was pretending he was in the army... at least we assume that's why he goes out after dark in head-to-toe camoflage.

For more information on the T-shirt see here

As is traditional, the Le Mans T-shirt is complimented by an accompanying sticker to show you are invading with PistonHeads... in a nice, friendly way of course. It is offered in 15'' for bonnets and doors and 3.5'' for, er, other places.

For 15'' see here

For 3.5'' see here

We reckon Le Mans 2010 could be extra special this year, as former F1 World Champion and formerly-mustachioed total racing legend Nigel Mansell is entering the fray under the Beechdean Mansell Motorsport banner.

Never before has the red '5' been more coveted and, in the spirit of supporting the return of 'Our Nige', we are proud to be offering our very own red 5 as part of our Le Mans stickerage campaign. The 5 is offered in 8'' only.

For more info on the red 5 see here

*This is a lie, we were just rubbish.

This is cutting it very fine some people leave in a week or so! Like the T shirt the sticker isn't as nice as last years.

You know what, it should be "British Invasion" and so it will be. The nice chaps at Dread have managed (at considerable cost to them) to bring it back from the brink and both the T Shirt and sticker will now be syntactically correct.

Err. Just testing you, Wilson.

I'm not going to Le Mans frown But I quite like the '5' stickers.

Would it be a bit stupid to throw them on my car anyway?

Yes totally, I will try to find one in the wardrobe. Done by a very good artist if I remember correctly.

Next year was about that V8 design on the back :-)
