Speaking of wastegates, i would think you could use a pair of pneumatic regulators along sing your wastegates which are more accurate and designed to open only at a set pressure rather than the wastegates which start opening earlier because of the way they are constructed. if you had the wastegates set at 10psi the would start opening a small amount at 6psi and be fully open when at 10psi.
But the pneumatic regulators are far more precise and would open at 10psi only so you wouldnt get boost falling off until 10spi, you would have them connected inline with the wastegate boost reference line so the wastegate wouldnt see any boost and wouldnt open until the pneumatic regulators open up at whatever pressure you would need.
I think most pneumatic suppliers would have what you need just a simple pneumatic regulator that you can set to the pressure you wanted or you could use an electronic valve so you could adjust it from inside the car.
Im not sure if that will help you out or not but i thought it may be some use.
Also awesome run in your ultima, beating everyone else when your car wasnt even running right great stuff.

In a way that's how it works. You also connects a hose from the intake manifold to the upper side of the wastegate. This helps the spring to push the valve (close). To manage (lower) boost you simply bleed this hose by an electronic solenoid/stepper.
Copied from yesterday's post:
The Schwartz Extreme Performance Ultima GTR put the only other serious competitor (the 1969 "Big Red" Camaro) on the trailer in Ely, Nevada, USA on Friday. The GTR was powered by a twin turbo 409 cubic inch Chevy LS2, which was built by Jeff Schwartz.
Seven cars attempted to accelerate from zero to 200 mph and back to zero in one mile. Ely, Nevada is at ~6,500 feet in elevation, so this no small challenge. As it turned out, nobody reached 200 in the one-mile distance...
"Big Red" Camaro - 189.40 mph.
Jeff Schwartz GTR - 190.20 mph.
It's not official yet, but tonight (Sunday) is the awards dinner. That said, I was there and saw the results. Video clips to follow...
The race is called the "Silver State Classic Challenge". The main part of the event takes place on Sunday (today). The state of Nevada closes 90 miles of highway and cars blast to any speed they have technically qualified for. Jeff ran in the 150 mph class, but the main goal for entering was the Z-2-Z (zero-200-zero), which was held on Friday.
Saturday's event amounts to a one-half mile, and one-mile, drag race. This "High Noon Shootout" is designed as a "test & tune" for Sunday's open road race. Standing at the finish line, it was clear there were some problems with the official's radar gun. The final results were not available.

Jeff, A bunch of LS1 guys have recently had issues with the cam phasing causing the engine to fall on its face at high rpm's. Something with the stand alone computer controller not reading it properly (most of these guys had BS3) and dumping the timing. Once that got all straightened out they are running strong! Good luck! Can't wait to see it once you have this all straightened out.
Video added... Please "right-click" and "save as".

yes it downloaded and i saw it all i just was hoping you had more. it is an adiction...i'll see someone about it.
I understand the adiction. I have it, too, and I have not learned how to deal with it. I drift corners, hit triple digits, or do a short burnout ever day to get my fix. crafty said:
I wanna see the burnouts.
No Ultima burnouts on tape. I would be surprised if there were any at all. You know the old saying, "Spinin' ain't winin'". However, I just put a stinky burnout on PistonHeads TV. I guess it takes them a short while to edit the porn out, but they should post it soon. A link is on the way...

I liked that purple? car in the beginning of that video behind jefs car is that a GT40 replica? it has such nice gto ass...yummie...
GTRene
It's an actual GT40, of which there were three: stock, supercharged, and (I think) twin turbo. GTRene
All of the cars at the SSCC were on the nice side of the spectrum...Lambo, F40, Porsche, Merc, at least two dozen Vettes (lots of C6 Z06), Vipers, Mustangs, and a few Asian imports.

Sounds awesome! Love the cam at idle and that high pitched noise under throttle as it whipped by!! WAHOO!!! Gotta love forced induction!!!!
yeah sounded very nice would be nice to see if it would get by some of the strick uk noise restrictions at UK tracks! could you put some sileners on there? there looks to be room!
got anymore pics of the set up jeff?? checked the site but nothing new on there also, are you limiting boost until the upper RPM or just running a flat boost level?? and how about the intercooler? did it work as well as planned???
thanks Chris.
