Is the full version video of the test drive around the track been released yet? So what was the Nuburgring time for that BMW "Loaded?" I could imagine an Ultima with the GTR720 springs or ARB to lap the record below 7 minutes.

I actually meant to make a thread requesting high res images of the car here, but since this thread has been brought up I'll just make a post here. Would love to see more high res pics of the OP's ultima, and better quality videos, anything related to it! Emailed with the same request to GTR-TT, still waiting response. Thanks!

^^^Simon, my Swedish is not what it used to be but I am positive that the gist was something along the lines of "real men in GTR's" and "girls/coiffeurs in half cars"?wink

GTR-TT, can i ask why you are running aluminium rods?? i would have thought a set of steel ones would have lasted longer.

Cheers

Chris.

They are light and handles more power and RPM due to that. These can handle 2000 hp and therefore they think my engine is a vacation resort smile . and they where for free...

Titanium rods would be better choice but much more expensive.

Who made the block, looks like a billet item? Not sure I'd use the rods though but hey, the guy's got balls smile Don't tell Stiggy.

is/was that the 930 4spd box with the bigger dif?
was it the aluminium flywheel that broke and caused the failure?

Great looking car, i like the level of detail, Especially the steering wheel.

i have heard about ally rods streching. is this only a problem if you are pushing the engine (well rod) really hard??

Chris.

You build in extra clearance to the heads when using alloy rods. As for the Top fuel items they get distorted after a few runs and are pretty much scrap by then.
