It's tuned, the AC is brutally cold, shifter works like a Swiss watch, no leaks, everything is on the car (even the wiper smile ) and my alignment is flawless victory. Love it! Thank you Ultima!

Took it for a torture test tonight. It was 90+ degrees out and genuinely miserable outside. I went and did some stop and go traffic with the AC running to see if anything would complain. Went off without a hitch. I could genuinely drive this thing every day.

As for power steering (since I'm not on a track) I put 26psi in the fronts and it's totally fine around town. The RS is an amazing rig.

Thanks!

I'm kinda torn the last few weeks. I'm glad it's done but I'm also a little mad at myself for finishing so quickly. It's been such a part of my daily focus I feel a little lost now. biggrin

Well done! Absolutely stunning. Any tips, things you wish you'd known going in, or things you'd done differently?

Thanks on Ultima's behalf, they did all the hard stuff! All I did was put it together.

Yes!

If you do the factory body pre-fit; when you get it there is a rivet at the front corners of the side pods on the underside that sets them at the correct distance from the body so that the center section lands on top of the side pods correctly (much) later. It is VERY easy to forget about those 2 holes and cover them up when you're paneling the bottom of the car. Losing those holes will ruin your day (or week in my case) when you go to put the side pods back on. Don't lose those 2 holes. Seriously.

And if you're working alone in the garage at 2am maybe don't listen to any of the old Art Bell episodes about aliens.

Other than that I don't think I would have done anything differently. Most fun I've ever had in the garage.

You call 90° Fahrenheit (32° Celcius) miserable? Try living in the Uk. laugh

Congratulations on the build. Looks lovely.

TR3B looks fab well done.
I know this is probably falling on deaf ears but you really should consider joint the FB group.

99% of ultima owner content is there, this forum is (sadly) effectively dead

I'd rather be dead than on Facebook. So I guess me and this forum will get along just fine.... biggrin

Problem for us current non owners looking to get into ownership, is that we cannot join the FB group, so this is our only resource for research etc.

If this forum dies, it is a bit of an extreme way of killing off the interest of prospective new owners.

You are not alone on this. I get asked by potential kitcar owners about their concerns with respect to a car they are looking at. They are wondering what is wrong with it as it has only 300 miles on it. I tell them when they go to view it they will likely find it out on the drive as the guy already has his next kit in the garage.

For me the build is everything which is why I work on them full time.

Ha! I was giving this very scenario some serious consideration. I'd have to get to at least 500 miles though before I'd sell mine to build another. biggrin

What part of the world are you in Steve?

This right here. No access to the Facebook group, no access to the factory build manual. I was ready to place a deposit on an RS for a month and just trying to scrape together what I could about how to assemble the second most expensive thing I've ever bought from YouTube videos and 10 year old posts on PH about GTRs. Kind of a shame. Not sure why it all has to be a secret.
