Anyone fitting an LS compressor - here's a part you might need. Its a manifold that will allow for the Ultima hoses to connect to the compressor. 2 styles.
Horizontal fittings

I bought the bottom one with the vertical fittings. The idea was that the fittings would face the front of the car.
I think however that they are designed to face the rear of the car. There's a large fitting and a small fitting. When facing the rear, the large is on the bottom, when facing the front the large one is at the top.
On the SB compressors they have the screw on fittings so you cant really go wrong. This fitting I have can go either way, so my question is, which port in the compressor is the return.
The top fitting on the compressor has a filter in it. I am assuming this is there so that if the compressor packs it in it doesnt ruin the rest of the system. I am assuming that this is the outlet of the compressor and should have the smaller hose attached.
I am assuming that the large hose is the return - my thinking is that the larger hose is because the gas has expanded.
Am I correct? If so, I am going to have to cut the fittings off and swap sides as the fitting is indeed designed to face the rear. The one with the horizontal fittings would not have this problem, but the hoses are not long enough to do it that way anyway, and theres no way Im taking the side pod off to change them.

Problem solved.
I reverted back to the Vette AC compressor (with the fittings on the rear of the casing) and used the fitting below..
