Just about finished on all the ali panels now.. phew!
before bond/rivit them in i wanna fit sound deadening.. Im happy to go the www.woolies-trim.co.uk/ route with the 15mm fire/noise/damper mat, but not sure what to go for on the back of the side panels?

Reflective sound deadening, as the cooling pipes run along the sides. I stuck the sound deadening on and then stuck the glass matting to that to reflect the heat back, also remember to do this to the luggage compartments as the pipes run under these (don't want hot sarnies do we?!)

I got the reflective matting from Car Builder Solutions, it's not self adhesive. If you look on Stigs web site for the Can-Am he used a reflective self adhesive deadening matt not sure where he got it from though, drop him a PM.

The 3 layer mat I used was also from Woolies. Highly recommend it. It has a thick, dense backing sheet, then 10mm or so of foam, then aluminised heat reflecting sheet. So it's heat/fire/sound resistant.
About £40 a square metre if I remember rightly. The adhesive backing is STRONG! Once it's on - which is vital as you won't have any access to them once the sidepods are on.
I had it in the floor, the sides and the front/rear bulkheads. It's quite heavy, but that's not a consideration if you're considering fitting it at all really, as its comfort over performance.

dont ever take the missis out in the car..... that will do wonders for the sound deadening!
That is the main reason behind NOT installing any sound deadening material in the GTW. Obviously the car makes one hell of a racket when moving briskly along but although loud, it is not harsh or rasping and so is actually quite pleasant in comparison.
Only joking of course
