Thanks Crafty, great links and that power curve is amazing! My supercharged Lexus build is in progress right now so I need all the help I can get.

The Lexus engine weighs in at 175kg's and it's physical size is about 650x650x650

with twin turbos and upto 2000bhp on stock blocks (obviously with custom internals). another anazingly strong engine by toyota.

What's the weight difference between a Lexus V8 and LS7? Are there any v8 engines out there that's lighter and as compact or smaller than a Lexus v8, and also inexpensive?

Hi, this forum - www.fastlane.com.au/Custom_Shed/AEC_Bullet.htm has the Lexus V8 at 175kg which is 10kg less than the GenIII LS engines.

Significantly less than an Iron SBC.

There are detuned Indy engines V8 supercharged that weighs about 150Kg with carbon ceramic clutch. But they go for about 50K USD from Ryan Falconer. Way too steep for me, I prefer a LS7.

Anyone considered that the Lexus V8 might be capable of revving to higher values and might be more suitable to the Porsche gearbox ratios ?
