thanks for the response and indeed the pm berw, very appreciated.
Helping sway my opinion, although prestige cars seem nuts to find/buy/insure. I have seen a nice classic 1275GT and even a nice alfa sud... E24, top marks collegue sold one here in Aberdeen went for £1500 in the end in GC. Always been a huge fan of these, is it a manual by any chance?

a rust free 1275GT, now that is a rare sight in my current waters. You have my attention.

Any general driving advice? What side of the road, wiki information seems a bit vague. How much is fuel.
Basically it seems like tax on anything imported is horrific unless you buy a malaysian produced cars... pie int he sky thinking i was wondering about a 2 seater with a reliablish, easy sourced malaysian engine, bad idea?

Is it worth importing a car?

must be fate, a lecturer of mine had a 240z when i was at uni (nearly 20 years ago) And then after 2 decade sabatical, I saw one today in Inverurie. Christ i want one badly. No rust over there. hey no snow either!

924's i have never been a fan. 944 however, oh yes. TR4 also like, a GT6 oh now your talking. Classic 1275GT, now there is an itch i would love to scratch. I love car shopping, agers and mileage dont put me off at all. Currently have a 16 year old Audi S4 avant with 194,000 miles on the clock and 290bhp as my daily. Worth sod all but i know it inside out, thus is it worth importing?
