Prolonged exposure to high volume has caused the base notes to become distorted.

Is there a fix for this or does anyone know of a good headphone repair internet shop?

Cheers,

Martin

Yes, dont buy tat because of a brand name. If you want decent headphones get something like Sennheiser.

most been sold in the Uk now are FAKES. Sound fine etc . In fact the fakes are ranked as bloody good on many forums dealing with fake items . Just about all i have seen for sale in LOndon have been fake . there are loads of people going around selling them to the trade .
but i cannot stop laughing when i see people wearing them . Talk about Zombies been sucked into Marketing !

I know nothing of the product but I have a huge amount of experience with the long term effects of loud music and headphones. Having spent the best part of a decade (90-98) as an aspiring DJ I used to spend every waking moment listening to lound dance music, either in my car or at the weekends through headphones. I now have pretty bad tinnitus as a result. TURN IT DOWN A COUPLE OF NOTCHES!

I was just going to say that. HTF have you broken a pair of headphones without breaking your ears first?

^ This - Known issue with the Beats range unfortunately. There are much better 'phones around for a lot less cash. Sennheiser, Klipsch, Beyer Dynamic - a better place to start.

I would actually mirror this comment completely. I've stuck with Sennheiser for years now, and the wireless and wired headphones I've bought over the hears have never once lost any quality in bass or treble range. Always crystal clear, and not ridiculously expensive.

Lol I was going to post the same thing but deemed it un-constructive.

OP - how old are they? Return them for a refund and buy a decent set?

this guy is the best fake dealer . His phones are turning up in shops and ebay all over the world. Most shops buy them as they want to sell what the KIDS want.

laugh

I was in Dixons the other day and decided to give them a try as they seem to be pretty popular with kids nowadays. To say I wasn't impressed is an understatement. For the money they are dire.

I quite like Dr Dre but it's clear he knows jack about sound quality. I'm also not sure why a company like Dell would want to be affiliated with a guy that enjoys smoking blunts, niggaz, fking biatches and being a hooligan.

Nah, these were definitely run in. They were so well used the ear foams/rubbers had practically disintegrated, like the Sennhiesers that were also on permanent display.

The Dixons I visited was at an airport so seemed to be getting a fair amount of use. Despite this they still sounded rubbish.

I'm willing to call you on it if nobody else is.

They're a decent mid-range headphone. They don't justify the price, but to say they're crap, without qualifying it, makes you look as uninformed as the people who buy them thinking they're a seriously high end product. Fabulous they aren't, but I've yet to hear anything which tells me they're dire - and I've put probably 200 hours of mixed genres through them.

They're not my first choice, and I've got far better, far more expensive and far less marketed / hyped headphones and in-ear jobbies to choose from. I didn't pay a penny for the beats ones, so I'm in no way bias. They leak sound like a mofo, they can sound a bit muddy when iPods and the like try and use the various bass / treble presets, and they make you look like a plonker, but to uniformly slam them as being crap is disingenuous at best, bullsh*t at worst.

Ah some balance at last. I have a pair that I picked up at an airport last year as an emergency as my Shure 530's had developed a nasty "crackle" from being stuffed in my pocket. They're actually not a bad headphone, just not compared to others at a similar price level, and have a nasty bass hump to please all the bass-heads who use them through iPods. I've used them through my Fiio E7 and they're a reasonably warm and decent sounding headphone that is better than 90% of the crap that passes for headphones at most places. And before the bashers have a go, my other phoness include P5's, Denon 7000's and Beyer T1's so I know what good cans should sound like smile
