Doesn't matter should still be able to add them even if it can't display them

I did add the 4k Astra test to my freesat enabled 4K TV and I was very impressed.

Hi Rich, is this for "brand new customers only"?

Could really do with a remote with backlit buttons. Buttons are not as tactile as on old SkyHD remote.

Only thing I don't like about Q are the remotes.

As soon as I got my Harmony working, the touch one got put in a drawer, where it will forever stay... it's just not intuitive. Sky should have used something like the ones Samsung supply with the top end sets - point and click.

The basic one I have to use upstairs, but it's a step back from the old Sky remote. It's too slippery to hold in one hand comfortably whilst flicking between channel up/down and volume up/down. It's not back lit, so irritating to use in bed with the lights out.

Everything else about Q I love.

The touch one is a dog's dinner!
The other is better thankfully you can use your old one still I think.

If you had you sky q box hiding away in a cupboard can you still use it with just the Bluetooth remote. Has it got IR functionality as well so you can use an IR sensor extender

Was about to press the button so to speak on this but then negotiated down the full package and fibre etc all up for £54pcm for a year. Given that v £130pcm + £250 for the new kit I kicked it into the long grass.

Wife happy £80odd pcm extra "fun budget".

You can use the BT remote with the box in a cupboard but I don't know the range. It is also IR capable as the non touch remote is IR. Not sure how an extender works so can't comment.

Now available to non-Sky broadband customers and if you've been with them for 10 years they waive the upfront cost. So mine cost £50 and and extra £7-ish quid a month.

ETA my upfront would have been £99 + £50 installation as I have sport and movies. Not sure what the deal is if you don't.

DId you do this online or on the phone? I've been with Sky more than 10 years and I'm still seeing £150 upfront costs...

Over the phone, you get pointed that way anyway when you try to order online.

Question for anyone that now has Sky Q - do you think I should wait a few months for any bugs and install issues to sort themselves out, or go for it now?

I usually cant wait for the shiny shiny new things................

And a question from me if I may.

Anybody using Sky Q alongside a Sonos setup ?

Just wondered if there is conflict between the two given each Sky Q box appears to be a router/creating a mesh network like Sonos.

When I first bought the Sonos kit I had terrible trouble getting it working anywhere near Apple routers.
